Procedure for Application

Applicants Eligibility

Applicants must meet all the conditions below.

  1. Applicants must have already had a research project on Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research that are newly adopted or ongoing in Fiscal Year 2023.
  2. Applicant’s request of support can be completed within the fiscal year.
  3. Applicants must agree to make the support result public.
    We will publish our support results: academic papers, books, presentations, patents, genetically modified animals which has been constructed in the support activities, or research resources including cells which has been established by the animal models, etc.

How to apply for getting the support

STEP 1. Please read the following Application Conditions in advance to fill in the application form.
STEP 2. Please create an account and password in our application system first, and then fill in the application form.
NOTE1: The account and password are available, if the applicants have already created them since FY2017. In that case, the applicants have to update the data of their account information.
NOTE2: Applicants need to register each of the support groups: Support Group for Animal Model Construction, Support Group for Pathological Analysis, Support Group for Physiological Analysis, Support Group for Molecular Profiling.
STEP 3. We will examine all the applications based on the following examination stanndards after the application deadline.
STEP 4. We will send an e-mail about the result. When accepted, the applicants are required to contact directly to the support-in-charge.
STEP 5. Upon completion of our support, please send back the report.

Application Conditions

Please read the following qualifications and descriptions in advance to fill in the application form.
Eligible applicants must meet all the conditions below.

  1. Applicants must have already had a research project on Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research that are newly adopted or ongoing in Fiscal Year 2023.
  2. Applicant’s request of support can be completed within the fiscal year.
  3. Applicants must agree to make the support result public.
    We will publish our support results: academic papers, books, presentations, patents, genetically modified animals which has been constructed in the support activities, or research resources including cells which has been established by the animal models, etc.

We will open these outcomes to the public with the applicant’s name on as our platform’s support results.

(1) Examination Standards Selection will be made in consideration of variety, number, quality, impact, and possibility of creating the new research field due to the limited budget for the platform.
(2) Disclaimer Please understand that the applicants may not obtain the expected results or may have unexpected events in dealing with the results due to various causes. We set disclaimers for each group. Please refer to the disclaimers and send the written consent prior to the support.
(3) Co-authorship Depending on the support or technique, the academic paper could be co-authored. We set rules for each group. If accepted, please be lectured from the support-in-charge prior to the support, and if necessary, negotiate with the person in charge.
(4) Acknowledgement Please include the statement upon publication of the applicant’s paper as described below.

(5) Obligation to report the applicant’s academic paper The applicants are obliged to submit the outcome report form in the end of the fiscal year if the applicants publishes academic papers with the support of our platform.
Please send the report even if it takes a few years after the applicants have supported by the applicant’s platform.
(6) Others If the applicant’s request for support is not likely to be completed within the fiscal year, please contact the head of the group.
